Through out the semester we have learned about the different social media sites. Our last assignment for our class was to create a new module with material on a social media site not covered in the semester. I choose Tumblr ,because we have heard of it yet it is not very popular as the other sites. My team mate and I communicated through google hang out, we maintained good communication, even though we both have busy lives.  I began by creating a Tumblr account, and familiarized with the site.  My team mate and I did not agree on how we were dividing the work, but he she took the initiative and began by creating the quiz, I then followed her lead and provided our audience with helpful tips on how to be successful on Tumblr. I then created the discussion, and provided a helpful link to assist with the discussion. The instructions to create the assignments were straight forward, and easy to follow through.The only challenge was to do research and find the helpful links. My team mate and I did our part of the project then communicated with each other to review the material, and edit if needed. This semester I have experienced further with social media sites. I created a You Tube video, which it had never crossed my mind to do. I also created a Twitter account, which I have gained a few new followers, and I am still learning how to gain more followers. I have also learned that their is more to google than just an email, google hangouts helped me communicate with my classmates. 

This semester I learned different ways to use social media effectively. The most interesting resourceful information provided was in the social network marketing module. I learned effective was to to use social media as a tool to gain popularity in a new business, or a product. The two sources of information,Ten benefits of Social Marketing, and Ten Laws of Social Marketing helped me when creating my Facebook page. I considered all the tips given in the articles when creating my page, as well as passed on that information to friends that have businesses. Not only did I learn about new social media sites, and how to use them effectively but I enjoyed participating in the group projects with other classmates.
